Meet Roses
Roses vary widely in size, scent, colour and prickles. The outer guard petals often look a little different from the petals inside.
Make the most of your vase
Use ten stems in one bunch or divide them among a few small vases at home. Eucalyptus or ruscus sets off each rose and leaves room between blooms.
When they arrive
Recut the stems with clean secateurs and remove leaves that would touch the water. Watch for prickles, and take care not to tear the stems when stripping foliage.
Choose a vase
Use a deep, steady vase for large heads. An opening with a little room lets each rose unfold.
