A bouquet for a vase needs different care from a potted plant. If the flowers arrived in foam or as a finished arrangement in its own container, ask us how to care for that arrangement before taking it apart.<\/p>\n

Get the vase ready<\/h2>\n

  1. Wash the vase and fill it as directed by the shop or the flower food packet.<\/li>\n
  2. Remove leaves that would sit below the waterline.<\/li>\n
  3. Recut the stems with a clean, sharp tool and put them in water. Ask us if any of the flowers need special preparation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Find a cool spot and check in<\/h2>\n

    Choose a fairly cool place away from direct sun and heat. Check the water level and clarity and remove any spent flowers. Check what\u2019s suitable for the flowers before adding anything homemade to the water.<\/p>\n

    How long a bouquet lasts depends on the flowers, their condition and the room.
